Obituary for Thomas Joseph Leven (1937-2023)
Thomas Joseph Leven, age 85, of Warminster, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family on Thursday, May 25, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, Thomas was the beloved son of the late Harry Leven and the late Mary (nee Harold) Leven, the devoted husband of Ruth Ann (nee Reeves) Leven, the loving father of Debbie Kaiser (Michael) of Horsham and Thomas J. Leven of Warminster, the proud grandfather of Ashley Carmody (Joseph), Michael Kaiser (Caroline) and Casey Leigh Leven (fiancé Jake Lloyd), the adoring great-grandfather of Harley Jo Kaiser and Ryan Patrick Carmody and the beloved brother of Brother Richard Leven S.C, Donald Kessler (Betty), the late Harry Leven (the late Marion), the late Jack Leven (the late Peggy) and the late Joseph Leven (the late Janet).
Thomas started working as a very young man for A & P Supermarkets. He began his career with them as a cart boy in Willow Grove and worked his way up to become a store manager. He was a proud member of Local 1776 U.F.C.W retiring after close to 40 years with the company in 2002. He was married at St. John Bosco Church, where he was a devout member for the past 60 years. Thomas enjoyed going on cruises with his wife of over 63 years, wintering in Florida, admiring his azalea gardens and cheering for his Flyers and Eagles every year.
Relatives and friends are invited to St. John Bosco Church, 215 E. County Line Road, Hatboro, PA 19040 on Monday, June 5, 2023 where Thomas’ family will greet guests from 9:30 am until 10:20 am and his Memorial Mass will begin at 10:30 am.
